Unity Boat Club (UBC) has an epic weekend coming up!
Friday, August 25: Purchase an event ticket for a private screening of A Most Beautiful Thing with special hosts Arshay Cooper, David Banks and, our very own, Aquil Abdullah. Event tickets are $100.00 per person and the fundraising proceeds will benefit UBC's Youth, Military and Adaptive programs. The viewing will be at PBC with event kick off at 5pm. To purchase tickets, to meet with UBC members and to chat with the special hosts, please check out the AMBT Event Invite and click on "Purchase Tickets Here."
Saturday, August 26: Open and free to call, hop in your car to celebrate DC's rowing history at Anacostia Community Boathouse (1900 M Street, SE, WDC 20003). Kids, family and friends are welcome to heart guest speakers from Howard University's 1964 Crew and to see their boat dedication of the Howard '64. The celebration is from 1pm - 5pm with the ceremony at 3pm.
Can't make the event but still want to donate to the AMBT Inclusion Fund?
Visit UBC Donation Link to make your tax-deductible contribution. Also, if your employer has a donor program towards diversity, equity and inclusion foundations, you can always designate this inclusion fund to help our DC minority and veteran rowers!
Unity Boat Club is a minority- and veteran-owned club, which works with clubs to build inclusive programs for adaptive needs, underprivileged or minority groups. PBC is proud to support "The Unity Community" programs in the Washington, DC area and we are looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
See you soon!
