Greetings and good morning!
I'm writing to let you all know to save the date for the 2021 Charlie Butt Head of the Potomac Regatta. Regatta Committee co-chair Lauren Schumer and I, along with the mighty Regatta Committee, will hold the regatta on Sunday, 26 September. The race will be hosted out of TBC and PBC, as it has in the past.
We'll endeavor to try and make the regatta as "back to normal" as possible, though keep in mind that as the local COVID landscape changes, we may have to make modifications to the schedule and/or regatta structure to accommodate changes to DC and/or federal COVID guidelines (federal guidelines apply because TBC is on National Parks Service land).
I'd also like to highlight: this year the regatta will not *officially* be known as the Scullers' Head of the Potomac, but simply the Head of the Potomac. This shift is to remove confusion we've had in previous regarding whether or not sweep teams were permitted to enter, hopefully encouraging increased attendance!
I'm really excited to help set up what I hope to be the best Head of the Potomac to date and hope you all will make it out to the race course!
