I wanted to provide a brief update on the CRC fleet and oars to the club:
1) The CRC has sold the Spirit of 1869 4x/4-, the Cynthia Cole 2x, the Gretchen Ellsworth 2x/2-, and the Paul Yager 2x. The Spirit and Cole have left the house, and the Ellsworth and Yager will be de-rigged and held on their racks as pickup is being coordinated. The fleet portions of iCrew and Fleetwatch have been updated accordingly.
2) The CRC has ordered a new 4x/4-, 2x/2-, and 2x from Filippi to replace the sold boats. These are expected in March/April from Filippi. We will get them into service as quickly as possible after they arrive.
3) The CRC is going to have all CRC oars professionally painted. I will be removing all of the CRC oars from the house today/tomorrow to get this process started. It will take 2-3 weeks. In the interim, I've arranged that 3-4 sets of RC sculling oars can be used by CRC members if they are needed. These will likely relocate to the CRC oar racks for the time needed for oar painting.
